Doc-write provides consultancy service to the biomedical community. We specialize in microbiology and infectious disease subjects. Our services include consultation on design and implementation of in vitro diagnostic devices, medical writing and editing, and expert reports and testimony.
About us
David Faguy, Ph.D. is the founder and primary consultant. His wife, Katie Faguy, MA , ELS is also involved in occasional writing/editing projects. Dr. Faguy is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and a consultant to several medical and biotechnology companies. This dual role allows David to extend his thought leadership in both practical and academic environments. Prior to this David was a manager at state public health laboratory and a full-time academic as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico.
David is a prolific publisher of research and academic literature, and has received research grants from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, and NASA.
He has sat on federal advisory committees at the NSF and NASA, was the president of a regional branch of the American Society for Microbiology, and serves on the editorial board of the scientific journal Applied and Environmental Microbiology. He holds a Ph. D. in microbiology and immunology from Queen's University.
Katie Faguy is Publications Manager for the American Society of Radiological Technologists. She is board-certified as an Editor in Life Sciences and a winner of a number of writing and editing awards including twice winning the Eric W. Martin Award from the American Medical Writers Association.
